Job Description:

Primary Function: 

Provides instructional support services for online students, faculty, and Instructional Development (ID) team; assists faculty with accessible content creation/editing and emerging online learning technologies; assists with digital video recording creation, management, captioning, audio descriptions, and transcripts; supports online faculty with content creation and technologies for online education, including assisting with webinars, Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integrations with Blackboard Ultra, and Open Educational Resources (OER content); collaborates with online faculty to design, develop, and edit instructional materials for online classes as assigned; and stays abreast of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), OER, Lightboards, educational applications, and digital accessibility checkers, to support growth and digital accessibility compliance in online education courses. ​

Qualifications: 

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in education or related field plus at least two years of online instructional development and/or course design at the college/university level; practitioner-level experience with digital accessibility remediation and compliance; experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices; strong project management and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills; and excellent team-based, collaborative interpersonal skills required. 
  • Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, educational technology, instructional design, or related field; certificate in digital accessibility compliance; certificate in Universal Design for Learning; teaching experience in a higher education online environment; and familiarity with Quality Matters (QM) Rubric Standards and QM certification preferred.
