This course strengthens educators’ skills when transitioning their course content to online formats. During the course, participants will face the challenge to design and develop a course using the pedagogical and technology tools available in Backboard Learn Ultra to create and deliver highly interactive and engaging online courses. The course is 100% asynchronous and self-paced, but participants can engage with the Blackboard Academy facilitator, as well as other participants, through discussions and email.

This course is intended to instructors, teachers, instructional designers, course builders/developers, instructional and learning technologists, and anyone else with an interest in learning how to create online courses in Ultra. No background is needed but previous knowledge and familiarity with Blackboard Learn is essential for better outcomes. The course is certified as Professional Development and awards a Blackboard Online Course Design badge and certificate upon completion.
