Position Summary

The Manager, Learning and Development – Facilitation leads the delivery and continuous improvement of learning experiences across Marketplace Seller Support and Risk. This role partners closely with Operations, Instructional Design, Knowledge Management, Workforce Management, Product, and external/vendor partners to ensure associates are ready to perform as the business evolves. The manager defines and upholds facilitator standards, certification requirements, train-the-trainer practices, delivery quality, classroom coverage, launch readiness, and learner feedback. This role uses performance insights to improve learning effectiveness and brings strong instructional design knowledge to ensure learning solutions are practical, engaging, and aligned to business needs.

About the Team

The Marketplace Learning & Development Facilitation team enhances associate readiness and capability across Seller Support and Risk by delivering scalable, high-quality learning experiences. Collaborating with Instructional Design, Knowledge Management, Operations, Product, and external partners, the team ensures timely delivery of relevant content and support. They lead facilitation excellence in onboarding, upskilling, compliance, and ongoing development, managing facilitator readiness, delivery quality, and learner feedback. Focused on building confidence, knowledge, and skills, the team supports associates in adapting to change, managing risk, and maintaining a consistent seller experience across Marketplace.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong partnerships across Operations, Instructional Design, Knowledge Management, Workforce Management, Product, and external/vendor partners.
  • Lead learning delivery across Marketplace Seller Support and Risk, including onboarding, upskilling, launches, and ongoing capability development.
  • Define facilitator standards, certification requirements, train-the-trainer practices, and delivery quality expectations.
  • Measure facilitator and program effectiveness using learner feedback, observations, readiness, and performance data.
  • Coach and develop facilitators while building bench strength and succession readiness.
  • Partner with Instructional Design to ensure learning is facilitator-ready and aligned to operational needs.
  • Establish governance and quality controls that support consistency and scale.
  • Continuously improve delivery, reinforcement, and performance support as business needs evolve.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience leading facilitation and learning programs in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and navigate competing priorities.
  • Strong instructional design and content development background with an eye for learning quality.
  • Experience defining facilitator standards, certifications, train-the-trainer programs, and delivery expectations.
  • Ability to use learner feedback, observations, and performance data to improve outcomes.
  • Strong project, operational, and people leadership skills, including coaching and developing facilitators.
  • Comfort working across learning platforms, delivery models, and vendor environments.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to adapt as business needs evolve.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or related field and 2 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area.
