HistoSonics is a commercial-stage medtech company advancing the Edison System, a novel non-invasive sonic beam therapy based on histotripsy. Since receiving FDA De Novo grant for the non-invasive destruction of liver tumors in 2023, the company has progressed into commercial expansion, reimbursement momentum, and ongoing clinical and pipeline development.
The Senior Manager, Learning & Development leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a scalable learning ecosystem supporting physician and internal clinical education across HistoSonics indications and technology platforms. This role develops curriculum strategy, learning frameworks, and content standards that translate complex clinical, procedural, and technical information into effective education programs, working cross-functionally with Procedure Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Marketing, Commercial, Regulatory, and physician subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead learning strategy, curriculum architecture, and education development for physician and internal audiences across indications and technology platforms
- Design scalable learning pathways that integrate foundational knowledge, procedural application, case-based learning, hands-on training, and competency assessment
- Develop and maintain curriculum frameworks, instructional design standards, governance processes, and content lifecycle management practices
- Lead the development of educational assets, including e-learning, instructor-led training, presentations, assessments, facilitator guides, and performance support tools
- Partner with clinical experts and physician faculty to incorporate clinical evidence and procedural insights into educational programs
- Manage internal and external curriculum development resources, vendors, and learning partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, Healthcare, or Clinical Sciences preferred
- 10+ years of experience in learning and development, curriculum design, clinical education, or medical education within healthcare, medical device, or life sciences organizations
- Demonstrated experience designing scalable learning programs, curriculum architectures, and competency-based development pathways for physician and/or clinical audiences
- Experience translating complex clinical, scientific, procedural, and technical concepts into effective learning solutions
- Medical device industry experience, including support of procedure-based physician education and product launches
Salary Range: $155,000 – $175,000 annually. Location: Hybrid, Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
