Position Overview:
As a Multimedia Specialist at Galen College of Nursing, you will serve as a member of the development team and works in collaboration with the Senior Multimedia Specialist, Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Instructional Designers (ID) to develop dynamic, engaging course content and supplemental training material for students, faculty and other instructional needs. This position will also serve in an advisory role to the institution on multimedia technology and implementation. Additional duties may include multimedia development for marketing and other departments, on-ground classroom teaching aides, orientation material, training material and other media production needs.

Position Requirements:
Education: Four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Development or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Appropriate technical experience and expertise; strong knowledge of web-based technologies and multimedia design; previous experience in educational multimedia development preferred; specialized training in instructional design preferred.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Experience or training in desktop publishing software and multimedia production software (i.e. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline Snag-It, etc.). The basic HTML skills required (Ability to code HTML5 preferred). Knowledge in creating content for delivery in Learning Management Systems preferred. Audio/Video production and(or) 3D Animation skills preferred (i.e. After Effects, 3D Studio Max/Maya, Premiere, Audition, Audacity and/or other audio/video production tools). Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues at a distance. Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills. Computer proficient with experience in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for eight (8) hours at a time. Infrequent travel may be required.
