Join us as a Learning and Development Adviser at Barclays AVP, where you will play a key role in shaping and delivering impactful technical learning experiences across Wholesale Lending Operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, operational teams, and project groups to define training requirements. You will develop user accreditation plans ensuring the timely delivery of learning aligned to program milestones. By identifying the learning needs, you will support organizational capability and performance by designing, delivering, and evaluating the program effectiveness and driving continuous improvement within the organization.

To be successful as a Leaning and Development Advisor AVP at Barclays, you should have experience in the following areas:

  • Previous experience in a Learning & Development or Training delivery role
  • Excellent understanding of wholesale banking, lending operations or Corporate / Investment banking
  • Skilled in building stakeholder alignment and navigating highly detailed, multi-disciplinary project teams

Other highly valued skills and experience include:

  • Previous Loan IQ and digital learning platform experience
  • Experience in coordinating projects and leveraging learning analytics to assess the impact of training efforts
  • Previous experience in Business Transformation practices to support organizational transformation through learning and development

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in Whippany, NJ, a secondary location is Wilmington, DE.

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

Purpose of the role

To educate and upskill operational colleagues through training, coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives. 

Accountabilities

  • Development of training programmes, workshops and other initiatives to coach and support the knowledge transfer and skill development of the banking operational teams/colleagues.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of training programmes and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in learning and development.
  • Execution of training needs assessments and collaborating across the bank to identify gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in relation to learning and development.
  • Identifying risk and issues internally within team and ability to escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain Barclays branding, ensuring all materials are reflective of the standards; adhering to Barclays governance, standards and policies.
