The Role

We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to join our Talent Development team as we build our learning ecosystem from the ground up. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning ideas into fully realized learning experiences. Our team is small, fast-moving, and in active build mode; developing programs, courseware, and experiences that support employee growth across the company. 

The ideal candidate is a builder and do-er: someone who can take a rough concept, collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, design the right learning approach, and develop a polished learning experience. This may include self-paced digital learning, blended programs, cohort-based experiences, or live virtual training. 

This role will also have opportunities to facilitate learning experiences, collaborate directly with learners, and help shape how learning evolves across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, modern learning content across formats: e-learning modules, job aids, instructor-led materials, video, and blended programs 
  • Lead the end-to-end design process from curriculum planning through development. Apply instructional design principles (ADDIE, SAM, or similar) to translate complex topics into clear, compelling learning journeys 
  • Develop engaging, media-rich courseware using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Google Slides and Sana Live and Sana Create 
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate content development, personalize learning pathways, and experiment with emerging modalities 
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with subject matter experts across the business to identify learning needs, design targeted solutions, and develop and test solutions
  • Collaborate closely with a small, high-impact team and contribute as needed, including shared responsibilities across training facilitation,LMS management and administration,TD communication drafting and launch support and learner support and troubleshooting
  • Establish baseline metrics and build dashboards to report on learning outcomes and program ROI 
  • Use data to continuously iterate on content quality, learner experience, and business alignment
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to proactively identify development priorities 
  • Champion a culture of evidence-based learning across the organization

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years of instructional design experience, ideally within a SaaS, tech, or high-growth environment 
  • Demonstrated experience building L&D programs or functions from an early stage; you know what it means to be a founder of a team 
  • Hands-on experience with Sana LMS or a comparable tool 
  • Experience designing and building end-to-end learning experiences, from concept to delivery 
  • Experience designing self-paced digital learning and virtual instructor-led training
  • Experience with curriculum design, storyboarding, and learning content development
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear learning experiences 
  • Experience partnering with subject matter experts to develop learning content
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift 
  • Strong command of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Synthesia, Articulate AI) to accelerate and elevate learning design 
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or equivalent 
  • Data-driven: You define success in measurable terms and are comfortable building reporting from scratch 
  • Builder mentality: You’re energized by ambiguity, not paralyzed by it 
  • Collaborative and consultative: You earn trust with stakeholders by understanding their needs before designing solutions
  • Curious and current: You stay ahead of trends in learning technology and AI-enabled development
  • Detail-oriented with a bias for quality, but pragmatic enough to ship and iterate
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to jump in wherever the team needs support

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with Sana LMS and Sana Create 
  • Experience facilitating virtual training sessions 
  • Experience designing cohort-based and blended learning programs 
  • Experience building Google Slides-based training decks 
  • Previous experience in a Learning and Development or Talent Development function

Base Compensation Range

$82,000 – $102,000 annually

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
