Position location is flexible and will be determined upon hire. Incumbent should reside within the Arvest 4 State Operational Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed. 

Job Summary

The Learning Experience Designer designs and creates effective, engaging, content and learning experiences. This role applies adult learning principles and instructional design models to develop comprehensive learning solutions, requiring strong project management, consulting skills, and collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop impactful and measurable programs.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with managers and subject matter experts to conduct thorough needs assessments, identify performance gaps, and recommend learning and non-learning solutions to improve business outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of comprehensive learning solutions, including creating detailed design documents, storyboards, scripts, and other instructional materials.
  • Manage and lead cross-functional instructional design projects, defining project scope, creating and maintaining project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring all deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders throughout the organization to develop content, incorporate feedback, and deliver effective learning solutions.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and models (such as ADDIE, SAM) to create learning content that is engaging, effective, and tailored to adult learners.
  • Develop and implement robust assessment and evaluation strategies; analyze learning data to measure the effectiveness and business impact (ROI) of training programs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Design and develop standardized templates and branding guidelines for consistent application across various business units.
  • Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  • Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Experience

  • Required: 3 years of experience in instructional design and developing learning content.
  • Required: 3 years of graphic design or training experience.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience managing complex, end-to-end instructional design projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, or other design software.
  • Preferred: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including consulting and relationship-building with stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
  • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to travel overnight, unaccompanied, within the United States via automobile and air is required, on occasion.

Grade 15

Pay Range: $62500 – $78125 per year
