Position Summary

Designs, develops, and delivers training programs and initiatives by assessing learning needs, creating engaging content, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness. Applies instructional design expertise and training delivery skills to enhance employee knowledge and skills, support professional development, and contribute to organizational learning.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designs basic instructional materials, such as e-learning modules, web-based trainings, quick reference guides, job aids, etc. to meet learning objectives and target audience needs, for Medicare Operations and Sales organizations.
  • Under close supervision, assesses the effectiveness of instructional materials and training programs through formative and summative evaluation methods, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Develops basic instructional content using appropriate authoring tools, multimedia elements, and interactive features.
  • Contributes to the project management of instructional design and development projects, ensuring timelines, and deliverables are met, and stakeholders are engaged throughout the process.
  • Analyzes training needs and performance gaps to identify requirements for instructional design and development projects.
  • Coordinates with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather information, validate content, and ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Conducts research and stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Supports trainers, facilitators, and end-users, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with the implementation and delivery of training programs, including review of structure/formatting of training curriculum.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews to ensure instructional materials are error-free, technically sound, and aligned with established standards and maintains the updates of web-based trainings.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience years in curriculum/course development in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with Tech -Basic LMS navigation, MS Office/Google Workspace, one primary authoring tool.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3years in Healthcare industry.
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Theoretical Frameworks: Thorough, applied knowledge of instructional models like ADDIE or SAM, alongside learning methodologies like Adult Learning Theory.
  • Exceptional written communication (for scriptwriting and storyboarding) and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Portfolio of Work: A digital portfolio is almost always mandatory. Hiring managers require proof of actual course construction, storyboards, and interactive prototypes.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Instructional Design or Educational Technology.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Education, Tech, Communications, or related) or 2-3yrs of equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 – $85,068.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
