Position Summary
The primary location of this position is in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (EHRA).
The Learning Technologist serves as a key resource supporting teaching and learning through the effective use of instructional technologies. This position consults with faculty and staff to design engaging, accessible courses and integrate learning technologies within and beyond the learning management system (LMS).
The role provides advanced support, training, and troubleshooting for the LMS and related technologies; partners with the IT Help Desk to manage escalated issues; and supports core LMS administration. In addition, the Learning Technologist promotes digital accessibility by evaluating course materials against established standards (e.g., WCAG), advising on improvements, and delivering training on remediation strategies.
Operating with a strong customer-service focus and independent judgment, the position collaborates with faculty and technical partners to develop effective, discipline-appropriate solutions that enhance instruction in an evolving technology environment.

Minimum Qualifications
