Teamed is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to lead the strategic redesign of clinical education programming for surgeons and healthcare professionals across APAC.

This role will focus initially on education related to endoscopic visualization systems and associated surgical equipment used in minimally invasive procedures.

The engagement begins with a comprehensive analysis of existing training materials and clinical learning programs, followed by the development of a structured curriculum architecture and competency-based learning strategy. The goal is to design a scalable clinical education framework that supports both knowledge development and real-world procedural competency.

This is an architecture-first engagement. Phase I centers on learning strategy, curriculum design, and assessment framework development rather than immediate content production.

The selected candidate will evaluate current materials, identify performance gaps, define measurable learning objectives, and design a structured learning pathway that supports clinical adoption and skill development. The work will include designing assessment strategies and competency validation approaches that measure learning progress and reinforce correct device usage.

Following completion of the design blueprint, this engagement may continue into Phase II production, where the designer may support or lead development of learning assets aligned to the new framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a structured learning needs analysis across clinical stakeholders and internal teams

  • Audit and evaluate existing materials, including clinical documentation, marketing content, and current training assets

  • Identify performance gaps, content redundancies, and sequencing issues across existing programs

  • Define clear, measurable learning objectives aligned to device usage, clinical performance, and surgical workflows

  • Design a structured competency-based curriculum architecture for surgeon and clinical audiences

  • Develop an assessment framework that measures learner progress, skill acquisition, and readiness for independent device use

  • Recommend appropriate assessment methods including knowledge validation, scenario-based learning, and performance observation models

  • Design a structured learning pathway including content sequencing, delivery modalities, and reinforcement mechanisms

  • Account for regulatory, cultural, and market differences across APAC regions

  • Recommend deployment approaches within current LMS constraints (Cornerstone)

  • Produce a comprehensive learning design blueprint outlining curriculum structure, assessment strategy, asset types, and phased development roadmap

  • Present recommendations to stakeholders and incorporate feedback prior to development approval

Qualifications

  • 7+ years instructional design experience
  • Experience designing education for clinician audiences such as surgeons, OR teams, or healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum architecture and learning strategy development
  • Strong experience designing assessment strategies and competency-based learning programs
  • Ability to translate complex technical or clinical information into structured learning pathways
  • Experience aligning education programs to measurable performance outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Experience working with LMS environments (Cornerstone preferred)
  • Ability to collaborate during Singapore morning hour

Preferred Experience

  • Degree in biology (or related) or experience in medical writing
  • Experience building training programs across multiple international markets
  • Familiarity with procedural or device-based education environments (MedTech)
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate content analysis and instructional design workflows
