Voltage Control Facilitation Certification (Online, Cohort-Based)

The Voltage Control Facilitation Certification is a three-month online program that teaches professionals to design and lead productive meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions. The curriculum is aligned with the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) core competencies. It also covers how to use AI responsibly in facilitation: when AI tools help with ideation, synthesis, and decision-making, and when a situation needs human judgment instead. Voltage Control is endorsed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) as a Short-Term Credential Provider.

What you'll learn: A range of facilitation methods and when to use each, how to design and run sessions that integrate AI tools, how to reflect on your strengths and growth areas as a facilitator, and how to build a professional facilitation portfolio.

Program structure:

• Month 1, Facilitation Foundations: Live, cohort-based sessions on facilitation fundamentals, with practice sessions and feedback from instructors and peers.
• Month 2, Facilitation Electives: Two self-paced video courses you choose, on topics such as Facilitating with AI, Design Sprints, Design Thinking, Liberating Structures, Workshop Design, and Facilitating with Visuals.
• Month 3, Facilitation Capstone: Live sessions where you build your facilitation portfolio and a long-term growth plan, with instructor and peer feedback.

How long does it take? Three months. Live sessions meet weekly on Fridays in months one and three, with 3–5 hours of work per week outside class. The program runs quarterly cohorts, with sessions scheduled for both US and EMEA time zones.

How much does it cost? $5,000, which covers all coursework, instructor office hours, and portfolio evaluation. A course pack of facilitation books is included. Admission is by application, and a diversity scholarship is available.

Is there a certificate? Yes. You receive a certificate for each course and a full facilitation certification, with a digital badge you can add to LinkedIn. Graduates also get lifetime access to Voltage Control's Facilitation Lab community.
