Design, develop, deliver, and implement enriching employee learning experiences. Evaluate the results of learning programs and takes appropriate action to ensure materials are high quality and meet learning outcomes, follow adult learning principles, current industry trends and best practices. Partner with People Business Partners, subject matter experts, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure learning programs meet business objectives and drive our mission, vision, and values

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design learning content and learning programs to foster development of competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities to support career development.
• Consults with stakeholders to identify learning needs and design learning experiences that align to organizational goals to match identified needs.
• Creates online self-paced learning modules, virtual and in person instructor-led training, and supporting learner and facilitator materials following instructional design best practices.
• Designs, implements appropriate reinforcement tools and resources that enhances retention and aid in learning transfer including manager discussion guides and toolkits.
• Create and conduct assessments to identify learning needs, assess learner engagement, and measure achievement of learning objectives.
• Quickly synthesize and write learning content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, and interviews.
• Work collaboratively with pillars and mission support departments to deliver exceptional learning experiences to educate and develop new hires, high potential, managers, and leaders Facilitate Train-the-Trainer (T3) sessions for delivery by staff and volunteers including Talent Development staff and Subject Matter Experts (SME).
• Deliver best-in-class facilitation utilizing a full range of modalities including physical and virtual classroom, eLearning, and social and collaborative learning techniques.
• Apply a working knowledge of adult learning theory and consistently utilize effective training techniques for managing participants, engaging a variety of learning preferences, creating an effective positive learning environment, and managing classroom challenges.
• Regularly review existing learning content to maintain relevance, accuracy, and remain responsive to developing trends and industry best practices.
• Follow necessary processes to upload content to Learning Management System (LMS) and support internal knowledge management through use of shared drives and systems.
• Optimizes the utilization of Learning Management System (LMS) by understanding the full functionality and capability of the system.

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

• 5+ years of experience facilitating and developing learning programs
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Must have extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, professional development, program design, instructional design, and evaluation methodology/practice

SKILLS

• Proven knowledge and experience in adult learning, instructional and curriculum design and learning evaluation.
• Strong technology competency in learning design tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 365 including MS Teams and Articulate 360 suite.
• Ability to learn and adopt new tools to maintain best in class position.
• Ability to think strategically and execute plan to completion.
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Proven relationship management with key stakeholders, peers, and team members demonstrating highly effective interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills and ability to remain highly motivated in changing circumstances.
• Ability to interact effectively with all staff and business leaders all levels and provide strategic guidance in a collaborative, consultative and positive manner.
• Ability to mentor and coach others without formal direct supervision.
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
• Able to operate in a team environment that holds individuals accountable for results.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strives for continuous improvement — ability to openly provide and receive feedback effectively.

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Travel required approximately 10% or more.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

The starting rate is $70,000 to $78,000. The final candidate’s relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
