Summary
The Global Food Marketing & Sales Development Team is looking for a Training intern to support the organization in three key areas of marketing including, but not limited to, product, customer, digital and regionally focused training tactics across North America and International sites with a focus on focusing on our Sales Team. This person will have the opportunity to experience and work on a wide variety of marketing and training projects around the areas mentioned. This position will support various initiatives for the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Training Team in the development of training materials for online and virtual training modules
- Work with product managers to update current training modules
- Develop new training programs and content for identified training needs
- Understanding of adult learning principles
- Learn about the Foodservice industry
- Build relationships and partner with various internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Culinary, Demand Planning, Production, and Logistics to build content
- Research industry and marketing trends and develop and suggest potential training needs
- Identify or follow-up on new operator sales opportunities with ability to assess the opportunity and match to product and other solutions, e.g., merchandising, recipe, culinary, etc
- Support current and potential training activities
Typical Education
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university
- Strong academic record (suggested minimum 3.0 GPA), with a bachelor’s degree emphasis in Sales, Marketing, Business, International or Hospitality
Relevant Experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams with strong collaboration skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems beneficial
- Understanding of Rise/Articulate system beneficial
