Senior Specialist, Affiliate Learning (U.S. Expertise Hubs)

Habitat for Humanity International’s U.S. Expertise Hubs are teams of subject matter experts and collaborative thought partners that – in partnership with local affiliate staff and leaders from across the country – create, connect and curate resources, services, trainings, and promising practices along dedicated practice areas in support of capability building within the U.S. affiliated network. The Affiliate Learning – U.S. Expertise Hubs team collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure high-quality, relevant, consistent, and applicable learning opportunities for the U.S. affiliated network by providing learning design, validation, and measurement support, process improvement, and outcome measurement of assigned learning efforts.

The Senior Specialist, Affiliate Learning (U.S. Expertise Hubs) serves as a learning consultant andco-designer to ensure materials and experiences are created in line with adult learning and instructional design best practice. Additionally, the specialist supports U.S. expertise hubs learning logistics and outreach by strengthening workflow and project management systems; managing administrative and logistical learning systems, processes and learning resources or job-aids; leveraging best practices in engagement and outreach, and assisting in outcomes measurements. The role will have the opportunity to grow and stretch in various areas of L&D including analyzing, developing, designing, implementation/facilitation, evaluation, and a variety of learning technologies and tools. 

A successful candidate will be an organized, strategic thinker who is attentive to detail, can collaborate effectively, handle multiple projects at one time, and has knowledge and experience with adult learning best practices; instructional design, development, and evaluation; and in-person and virtual consultation and facilitation. Additional criteria include critical thinking, information analysis, research, problem solving and creativity.

Essential Duties

Product and service learning consultation, design support, measurement, and evaluation (60%)

  • Support the design, execution, and impact of expertise hub product and services, including assessing needs, validating concepts, consulting and co-designing learning experiences and products/services in line with adult learning best practices, and measuring and driving affiliate awareness, access, usage, and impact
  • Establish and monitor automated data collection mechanisms for key product/service metrics
  • Design, build, monitor, and maintain dynamic dashboards, scorecards, reports to provide actionable insights to decision makers
  • Provide additional timely, regular, relevant data analysis and/or reports on hub products/services

Learning Logistics Support (30%)

  • Coordinate logistics for Expertise Hubs learning programs, including but not limited to training communications, scheduling of learning opportunities, virtual program arrangements (e.g., Microsoft Teams set up), registrations and program materials, ordering materials, shipping, and travel planning.
  • Track and aid with data compilation and verification of data accuracy used to regularly evaluate the efficacy of Expertise Hubs.
  • Co-lead, lead, or contribute to day-to-day project management efforts, including, preparing agendas, facilitating discussions, documenting notes and action items, and answering questions to keep projects on task
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying areas for operational improvement, making suggestions, and driving change to gain efficiencies and improve service
  • Support cross-team operational initiatives, as needed
  • Strengthen Expertise Hub internal systems. Improve and/or create more efficient workflows, project plans, and data management processes.

Network Outreach, Engagement, Relationship Building, and General/SME Support (10%)

  • Provide high-quality service and support to the affiliate network, answering inquiries, identifying needs, and creating opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and community building.
  • Collaborate on marketing, communications, knowledge management, and outreach efforts to elevate the hub as a go-to resource for affiliate leaders, including leveraging and supporting MyHabitat, Viva Engage communities, regional and Affiliate Support Organization events and offerings, Affiliate Support Center inquiries, practitioner cohorts, and other opportunities for building awareness, usage, and satisfaction through subject matter expertise
  • Foster engagement (in Viva Engage communities and other innovative approaches) by identifying common needs, sparking conversations with and among affiliates, aggregating promising practices from the field, and integrating insights into content and services.
  • Successful completion of annual goals connected to Expertise Hubs and Division Objectives
  • Annual network engagement/customer service metrics successfully met
  • Annual quality and satisfaction metrics successfully met
  • Measurement of additional expectations based on Annual Job plan

Minimum Requirements

Education

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $59,590 to $70,100.

Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
