How can you make an impact? 

McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Project Specialist.  

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 9/30/2027.

What you will be doing:   

  • Create and manage agile project planning documents and other artifacts including Jira cards and Smartsheet for composition, digital delivery, reprints, translations, assessment and other activities as assigned
  • Lead agile project ceremonies and meetings including vendors and project resources
  • Assign and manage onshore and offshore vendors to ensure definition of work is realistic, understood, and executed on time
  • Identify and manage issues and risks with vendor and working team, escalating as needed, to manager and/or product team
  • Document and manage action items for follow-through
  • Document and assess implications of changes and decisions regarding scope and budget
  • Review and verify required vendor input documents are delivered by the product team upon hand off notification. 
  • Ensure quality checks are performed as defined by Production Center of Excellence
  • Utilize and oversee usage of production and delivery systems like Jira, InDesign, K4, Habitat, Smartsheet, and other digital delivery
  • Collaborate with vendors and project stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery, drive communication, identify risks and issues relevant to production activities

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years total work experience
  • Prior publishing experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Acute attention to details
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to ask questions
  • Experience using Microsoft office tools and project management tools like Jira and smartsheet.com
  • Familiarity with project management framework and methodologies especially Agile

The pay range for this position is between $52,400 – $62,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
