Overview
Job Purpose
The Instructional Designer is responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and develop highly interactive learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led training, simulations, webinars, and blended solutions) that address business needs and improve performance of PPL employees. These solutions can address skills (mostly technical), compliance, and safety related instruction. The Instructional Designer is experienced with learning principles so they many analyze, design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and programs. They must be able to communicate and collaborate with employees within the organization, demonstrating application of a systematic approach to training (SAT model, ADDIE model, etc.), needs analysis techniques, adult learning theory, and effective learning solutions.

Senior Level Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, education, technology, or related field and 5+ years’ experience in instructional design and course development or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis is required.
*Position will be filled at the appropriate level commensurate to the candidate’s education and experience.
