This is a role for someone who can move comfortably between big-picture strategy and operational detail.
Beyond the formal responsibilities, this position is a strategic and highly collaborative leadership role at the intersection of academic technology, accessibility, faculty support, and institutional change management. The Director of the Office of Learning Technologies is not only responsible for keeping systems and services running effectively, but also for helping shape how the university supports teaching and learning in a rapidly evolving digital environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hard skills in learning management system administration and oversight, educational technology implementation, budget management, supervision of professional staff, vendor/contract management, accessibility compliance and digital content remediation, online proctoring systems, and faculty support for instructional media production. Experience with project management, policy development, reporting/assessment, and collaboration with academic and IT units is also preferred. Preferred soft skills include strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead through change, sound judgment, strategic thinking, diplomacy, customer-service orientation, and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be able to balance operational demands with long-range planning and should demonstrate a commitment to service, innovation, and accessible teaching and learning.
