About Teamed
Teamed is the specialist recruiting and hiring partner for Learning & Development, founded in 2017 by Ashley Lonie. Teamed serves both sides of the L&D hiring market: organizations that need to hire instructional designers, eLearning developers, LMS administrators, learning experience designers, and L&D leaders; and the L&D professionals who do that work. Teamed combines a free job board, a curated Talent Pool of more than 100,000 L&D professionals, and full-service recruitment by L&D-specialist recruiters, plus Employer of Record services for contractors. Teamed operates worldwide.
Founder
Ashley Lonie is the Founder and CEO of Teamed. Before starting Teamed in 2017, she led teams that hired L&D talent across higher education, corporate L&D, and digital product organizations. She founded Teamed to solve a gap she repeatedly experienced as a hiring manager: generic job platforms didn't speak the language of L&D, specialty firms were narrow, and the right people existed but were hard to find quickly. Ashley is based in the United States and is publicly active on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/ashleylonie.

What Teamed believes
- People are the leverage point — strong learning outcomes depend on the right people; every search starts with understanding both the organization's needs and the professional behind the work.
- Domain depth matters — specialization in instructional design, eLearning development, learning strategy, customer education, and workforce enablement leads to better hiring outcomes than generalist recruiting.
- Transparency builds better decisions — Teamed gives organizations honest market insight on hiring expectations and compensation, and helps professionals understand how to position themselves in a changing industry.
- We build for both sides of the hire — the platform serves the organization and the professional, so the right person finds the right work and both sides walk away wanting to do it again.

Meet Teamed.
The work has changed. So has what it takes to hire for it.
Learning teams are being asked to deliver more, adapt faster, and find specialized expertise on shorter timelines. Even strong core teams need to be supplemented — for a big project, a new capability, a short-term need.
Teamed exists for both sides of that equation: organizations that need to find the right person quickly, and the L&D professionals who deserve to be seen in a field that’s moving fast.
I built Teamed because I’d been on the hiring side for years.
Across higher education, corporate L&D, and digital product work, I led teams that hired L&D talent. Every time, the same gap showed up: the right people existed, but finding them quickly was hard. Generic platforms didn’t speak the language. Specialty firms were narrow. And the work always needed to move faster than the hiring did.
What I wanted was something built specifically for L&D — a place where hiring managers could find specialized talent without explaining what an instructional designer does, and where the professionals doing this work could be seen for what they actually do.
Teamed is that. It’s the platform I wished I’d had when I was in your seat.
