Job Description Summary:
The Talent and Organizational Development (TOD) department within Human Resource Management and Development is responsible for employee professional development, manager and leadership development, organizational development, learning, and engagement planning to help faculty and staff reach their full potential. TOD’s mission is to drive positive culture change and organizational and individual excellence by delivering high-quality programs and strategic solutions.
This experienced position provides professional development, organizational design, learning, and engagement services to help staff and units reach their full potential, while aligning learning solutions with organizational goals. The core responsibilities of this role are to consult with unit heads and managers to determine learning needs and solutions, to develop and implement professional development programs, and to facilitate professional development sessions. This position will also support management in designing and implementing informal and formal professional development and learning programs using a variety of methods, will design and deliver training and team building activities, and will participate in the development, organization and maintenance of relevant training and resource materials. This role may also monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, and assess current knowledge levels of individuals and teams to identify skill gaps and deficiencies. This role advises clients on the use and functionality of the Talent Management system (both performance and learning modules) to best meet their needs. This role is located in the central Human Resources function.
The Online Learning Associate will consult with clients to determine learning needs and solutions. The associate will develop and implement professional development programs and facilitate professional development sessions. This position is responsible for determining learning needs; performing instructional design for in-person, web-based, and blended learning solutions; and designing effective and efficient end-user materials that support the learning and cultural needs of the university. The Online Learning Associate will report to the Director of Talent Development.
The Online Learning Associate position requires the incumbent to work on GW’s various campus locations as necessary, but is based in Foggy Bottom.
Primary responsibilities and tasks include:

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 1 year of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
