Digital Accessibility Specialist, Senior – (260000I9)
The Digital Accessibility Specialist, Senior serves as a centralized resource supporting University schools and administrative units in meeting digital accessibility requirements and standards across web, document, multimedia, and digital content platforms.
This is a temporary, full-time, contractual position.
This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing structured accessibility remediation efforts across units, establishing consistent workflows and expectations, providing training and guidance, and serving as a primary point of contact for accessibility-related questions and issue resolution. The role helps ensure a coordinated and sustainable institutional approach to digital accessibility compliance and continuous improvement.
The position works collaboratively with stakeholders across the University to provide guidance, track progress, clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and support implementation efforts related to accessibility standards, policies, and best practices.
In limited high-risk or complex situations, the individual may also assist directly with accessibility evaluation and remediation activities.

Primary Duties:
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, information technology, web development, instructional technology, public administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Four (4) years of related professional experience in digital accessibility, web content management, compliance coordination, web development, communications, instructional design, or related fields.
Preferred experience includes:
Certification/Licensure:
Relevant accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, or equivalent are preferred but not required.
Other:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Hiring Range: $ 29.57/hour to $35.48/hour (hourly equivalent of $61,680 – $74,000).
