Job Description:
We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and creative education professional to join the Center for Online Innovation and Production (COIP). The Education/Training Specialist II partners with instructional designers to create engaging, accessible online learning experiences by developing courses in Canvas, enhancing multimedia content, testing learner experiences, ensuring ADA compliance, and coordinating projects from development through launch. This role also provides guidance on established design standards and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
COIP collaborates with UF’s world-class faculty to develop innovative, engaging online courses that provide students with an exemplary learning experience. Our team of instructional designers, graphic designers, videographers, educational technologists, and multimedia specialists works together to produce high-quality courses for university stakeholders, including UF Online—recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s top online undergraduate programs. Reporting to the Instructional Designer III in charge of Educational Technology, this position is responsible for assisting the COIP instructional design team in creating assets to be used in online courses, reviewing them for quality, preparing them for use, and tracking the progress of work that is in process.
40% – Learning Design
40% – Multimedia
20% – Project Management
Expected Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 salary
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Background in online learning, learning theories, instructional design, graphic/visual design, computer-based training, and an ability to effectively collaborate with members of the instructional design team. Flexibility and ability to adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and in person. Ability to problem solve.
