We are seeking an experienced Sr. Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team at our Global Support Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop relevant, engaging learning materials, including videos, e-learning modules, workbooks, facilitator and instructor guides, presentations, assessments, and job aids.
  • Apply adult learning theory, instructional design methodology, accessibility considerations, and multimedia best practices to create effective learning experiences.
  • Update and maintain existing curricula, content, and supporting materials to ensure accuracy, usability, operational relevance, and alignment with the P.F. Chang’s brand.
  • Partner with Learning & Development, Operations, Culinary, Human Resources, and other cross-functional leaders to assess, prioritize, and address business and performance needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define learning objectives, validate content, and ensure the quality and accuracy of learning solutions.
  • Support the administration and ownership of the LMS, including content configuration and uploads, course assignments and enrollments, reporting, user troubleshooting, and coordination with HRIS and IT support partners.
  • Maintain organized learning content, source files, project documentation, version control, and publishing standards.
  • Manage assigned learning projects from intake through launch, establishing timelines, coordinating reviews, communicating progress, and meeting deadlines.
  • Evaluate learner feedback, assessment results, and available performance data to recommend improvements to learning content and delivery. 
  • Stay informed of instructional design, learning technology, multimedia, and restaurant training trends, and recommend practical innovations that improve the learner experience.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline learning development and administration processes while maintaining quality and brand consistency.
  • Perform other duties and support additional learning initiatives as assigned. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning and development, education, communications, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing instructional materials for adult learners. 
  • Experience using e-learning authoring and design tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher, Adobe Premiere, or comparable software. 
  • Experience creating and editing multimedia content, including video, audio, graphics, and interactive learning assets. 
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems, including content publishing, course assignments, reporting, and user support. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong writing, editing, proofreading, and visual communication capabilities. 
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, including the ability to gather input, influence partners, and respond constructively to feedback.  

Location: 

This is primarily an office-based position located at the P.F. Chang’s Global Support Center in Scottsdale, Arizona 85255. Candidates must currently reside in the greater Phoenix area and live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
