The Technology & Design Specialist manages course setup and publishing, assignments and enrollments, user support, data integrity, learning communications, and reporting for operational and compliance needs. • Provide LMS user support and troubleshooting (access issues, navigation questions, completion corrections as appropriate); escalate and track vendor/IT tickets through resolution.
  • Maintain training resources on internal knowledge platforms, including organization, version control, and governance, so materials are accurate, up to date, and easy for staff to access.
  • Partner with managers and subject matter experts to assess training needs, define learning objectives, and recommend solutions (LMS courses, eLearning, blended learning, job aids) aligned to business priorities.
  • Design, storyboard, build, and update eLearning modules and digital learning assets using approved tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe) and instructional design best practices.

Qualifications And Requirements:

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus additional post-secondary coursework in instructional technology, information systems, business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Required Experience: 6–24 months experience in a service-oriented environment (financial institution experience preferred) with demonstrated ability to support training, learning content, or business communications.

Preferred Experience: LMS or training-system administration (course setup, enrollments, reporting) and building digital learning content (eLearning modules, job aids, and multimedia) using tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, and/or Adobe applications.

Required Knowledge: Working knowledge of training principles (adult learning, learning objectives, and common training methods) and strong comfort with learning technology platforms, including an LMS, eLearning publishing basics (e.g., SCORM tracking concepts as applicable), and data/reporting practices (triage, documentation, and issue tracking).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to adhere to BayPort Credit Union’s Core Values: Integrity, Be Bold, Compassion, Diversity, Innovation, It’s On Me, and One Team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear job aids, course directions, and learner-facing materials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software and systems quickly.
  • Ability to build and maintain eLearning and multimedia assets with attention to visual consistency, accessibility, and learner experience.
  • Ability to administer and support systems (user access, troubleshooting, testing changes) with strong attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and follow-through.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, collaborate across departments, and produce accurate reports and communications.
