The Associate Program Manager- Employee Career Development supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Maximus’ employee career development ecosystem. This role helps shift career development from a predominantly high‑touch, appointment‑based service to a scalable, self‑service model that leverages automation, AI (where permitted), and curated learning assets while preserving targeted human support where it adds the greatest value.

This role is responsible for supporting career enablement programs and assets that help employees understand job architecture, navigate internal mobility tools, prepare career materials, and identify development opportunities with clarity and consistency. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners, this role blends program management, content design, AI‑enabled tooling, and change adoption to improve the employee career experience at scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Support the intake, coordination, and execution of assigned employee career development projects, ensuring deliverables progress according to defined scope, timelines, and priorities.
– Assist in managing program dependencies, risks, and deliverables for assigned career development projects, including escalation of issues and tracking their resolution.
– Support the development and maintenance of program assets, including e-learning modules, learner workbooks, toolkits, job aids, and career guides, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
– Support the updating and maintenance of the Career Development SharePoint Hub as the primary employee entry point for career resources and tools.
– Contribute to the design and refinement of user journeys for assigned projects by incorporating stakeholder input and aligning deliverables with project objectives.
– Support the development and deployment of optional, AI-enabled career tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot prompts or agents) that assist employees with resume drafting and optimization; Eightfold profile readiness and navigation; interview preparation; and career exploration.
– Support the delivery of non-AI alternatives (toolkits, templates, and recorded content) as part of project outputs to meet accessibility and compliance requirements.
– Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Total Talent Management, Strategic Workforce Planning, Corporate Communications, and HR, to support aligned career enablement projects.
– Assist in implementing communication and change management strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and effective use of career development resources.
– Assist in analyzing data and employee feedback to identify risks, track progress, and recommend improvements to programs, tools, and content.

– Facilitate and deliver targeted sessions for employees, leaders, and HR stakeholders on career development resources and services as needed.

Minimum Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

– Experience supporting or delivering career development, learning programs, or organizational development

– Experience designing or supporting self‑service or digital learning experiences, such as learning modules, job aids, tool kits using creative technology tools (such as Canva).

– Experience leveraging automation, AI tools, and HR platforms to improve efficiency and scale.

– Ability to translate complex job architecture and career concepts into clear, employee‑friendly content.

– Experience facilitating remote learning sessions with Zoom, Teams or similar on-line platforms.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, Cornerstone, Eightfold, or similar platforms.

-Background in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, HR Technology, Recruiting, Career Coaching, or Outplacement Services.

-Strong data literacy and comfort supporting analytics and reporting.  PowerBI/Tableau or SmartSheet experience a plus.

-Experience supporting a large, distributed workforce.
