College Board – L&A
Location: This is a fully remote role.
Type: This is a full-time position
About the Team
The Content Accessibility team at College Board has the privilege and responsibility of ensuring that College Board assessments are accessible for individuals with disabilities. Our work is both specialized and broad: we work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to write and review image descriptions, consult with product and technology teams to improve accessibility supports in authoring tools, and collaborate with accessibility and accommodations specialists across the organization to ensure test content meets both policy and the test-taker needs. We not only advocate for universal design, we live it.
About the Opportunity
As our Director, Content Accessibility you are a writer, reviewer, problem solver, and program liaison who doesn’t settle for ensuring the test-taking experience is fair for individuals with disabilities. Rather, you push to improve that experience. You do this in part by learning the ins and outs of a program, specializing in its unique content requirements and pursuing innovations that benefit both the end user and the program. You train stakeholders to instill in them best practices and you advocate for improvements every chance you get, inviting key stakeholders to buy into the team’s vision not just of making our work good, but of making our goodness repeatable.
